I absolutely adore these retro reindeer. The paper is called "Home for Christmas" and is available starting today in the new Holiday Catalog.  The papers in this series remind me of my early childhood Christmases. The reindeer were perfect for this week's Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge.

Even though I wasn't immediately elated with this week's sketch (Tall & Skinny), it grew on me. I waited for the "Mojo Moment" - when the paper, colors, and sentiment all come together in my mind. And then I waited some more. The moment finally came when I turned the sketch sideways. I thought my card turned out pretty cute, but then again, I'm very partial to these reindeer.

It is an incredibly easy card to make, other than the fussy-cutting. The reindeer are fussy-cut from the printed paper. I can hear some of you groaning, but as I always say, it's worth it. Since my new "Merry" thinlit has not yet arrived, I resorted to using the retired "Merry" thinlit.  Had I not told you, would you have noticed? To all my Stampin' Up Demonstrator friends out there - don't answer that!

I also used the new corrugated cardstock which matched the little reindeer perfectly. It added much needed texture to the card. I topped it off with some linen thread and a cute little bow in the corner. There was no need for more embellishments; the reindeer speak for themselves.

Here's the Mojo Monday Sketch # that gave me the inspiration for this card:
