CHRISTMAS GIFT CARD BOX - December Creative Circle Blog Hop

Welcome to the Creative Circle Design Team December Blog Hop!

If you have arrived from Liz Holloway's blog, you are in the right place.  Be sure to stop by all of our blogs using the links at the end of this post.

This month, Liz created an adorable gift card box for us to make and decorate. The pattern for this box is available for purchase on Liz' blog HERE. The gift card is inserted in a special slot that makes the card pop up when the box is opened.  I mainly used the vintage Santa paper in the "Home for Christmas" Designer Series and the Red Glimmer Paper to decorate my card box.  The pool party polka-dot paper, Santa, and bow are a belly band that is removed to open the box.

Here's a close up of the belly band:
Here is the gift card box and the matching card.  The card measures 3 1/2" by 4 1/2" and fits into the box perfectly:
I decorated the inside of the gift card box with the same Santa paper.  I left the gift card slot empty so you could see the slot. The belly band is in front of the box.See the slot for the gift card?

This picture shows the gift card slot better (I inserted a red gift card).
And since I have been on a Santa kick, I made a regular sized card to go with the gift card box (just in case I want to put an additional present in the box instead of the card.

And finally, here's the box with the smaller card inside:

What a great gift for someone!

Now let's go see what Barb has created by clicking on the ornaments below.  If you get lost, come back here and follow the links below:
