The new "Going Global" stamp set is so versatile. It's a wonderful set for people who love to travel, for creating masculine cards, and for expressing your feelings about loved ones who live far away.

For me, it's the latter. While I don't usually personalize my posts, I want to talk about someone special in my life. I made this card for my little sister who lives in Florida. She is 14 years younger than me and 18 years younger than my brother. Unlike both of us, she is petite in stature. "Though she be but little, she is fierce" fits her perfectly. She is a force to be reckoned with, but always in the best of ways. Her most important attribute is that she loves deeply. She has shown my brother and me on many occasions that when you truly love someone, there is no distance or limit to that love. In many ways, she is my hero. This card is for her.

Since this card is all about love, I chose the colors Real Red, Basic Black, and Very Vanilla. The designer series paper is called "Going Places", and it is amazing. It comes in a 6" x 6" pad and contains four sheets each of 12 double-sided designs. See below for a list of the supplies I used for this card.

I stamped the sentiment twice, once in Real Red and once in Basic Black. I fussy-cut "love" and added a small red heart.  I used the Balloon Framelits to cut out the sentiment and added black/white twine for the balloon string.  The little hearts were punched with the Hearts Border punch.

This is a great card to make for a loved one that you miss dearly. Before I go, this is my beautiful sister - Happy Valentine's Day Kathy! Love you!

Happy Stamping,
