CREATIVE INKING BLOG HOP - #I'MBRINGINGBIRTHDAYSBACK

Welcome to the Creative Inking Blog Hop!  I am so excited that I have been asked to participate in this Hop every month! This is a group of very talented women and I'm so proud to be a part of it. This month's theme is "#I'mbringingbirthdaysback".

I love the flower in the "Birthday Blooms" stamp set. It's big and so easy to watercolor or ink blend. I chose the ink pad and blender pen method using Daffodil Delight and Old Olive inks. Those two colors pair well with black and white.

Here's a close-up of the card. I fussy-cut the flower and you'll notice a little piece of stem is missing. Yep - accidents happen! So when I fussy cut another flower for the gift bag (below), I purposefully cut off that piece so the flowers would match. What we do sometimes not to fussy cut any more than we have to. I also colored the pearls with a black sharpie and added them to the center of the flower. I added some black twine and tied a bow to balance the card.

I made a matching gift bag using the "Sketch Dot Tag a Bag" gift bags. I added a doily and covered a small clothespin with the matching Designer Series paper, "Everyday Chic".  See below for a full list of supplies used to make this project.

Here's the card and bag together with a matching envelope (lined with the Everyday Chic designer paper.  What a nice gift for a special person in your life! My Club members will be making this ensemble next month.

I hope you enjoyed my post - I would love to hear from you!
