CHRISTMAS IN JULY

I know it's early, but there's nothing like Christmas in July. I love summer, but I'm looking forward to seeing the Stampin' Up! Holiday catalog in a few weeks. So with that thought in mind, and an awesome Mojo Monday ##458 card sketch, I wanted to re-acquaint myself with the carryover stamp sets from last Fall that are still available in the catalog.

The poinsettia in this stamp set "Reason for the Season" was another must-have for me. It has a soft watercolor look. You could get a bolder look with the coordinating Festive Flower punch as well, but I wanted to soften the look with the embossed background. See the supply list below for a picture of the stamps in this set.

I used the new Petal Burst embossing folder (you can see it best on the first picture above) on Real Red cardstock (3 3/4" x 5") for the background and mounted that on a piece of Old Olive cardstock (4" x 5 1/4"). I thought this embossing really paired well with the poinsettia. I used the Gold Foil paper to cut a scalloped circle (2 1/2") with the circle collections framelits. I then added two pieces of the 1/8" Gold ribbon, then added the sentiment (2 1/4" x 2") and backed it with Gold Foil (2 1/2" x 2 1/4").

Hope you enjoyed my post today. I would love to hear from you!

Stay tuned for the Creative Circle Kit-To-Go Sara D. purse and 8 card tutorial using the Swirly Bird stamp set and Swirly Scribbles Thinlits.  I can't wait to give you a sneak peek!

See my Customer Rewards Program tab above for the July Hostess Code and don't miss out on July Bonus Days! For every $50 you spend in July, you get $5 free to spend in August. And, of course, my personal, awesome rewards!

Happy stamping!
