CREATIVE INKING BLOG HOP - Peeking into the Holidays

Hello friends! Welcome to the Creative Inking Blog Hop. This month's theme is "Peeking into the Holidays". We are all so excited to show you some of the great Holiday products that will be available September 1.

I chose to do another Sampler (or wall hanging) and a card using primarily the "Candy Cane Christmas" and "Jolly Friends" stamp sets. I love samplers and they make great gifts!

The printed paper is the new "Candy Cane Lane" Designer Series Paper. The colors in the papers are Real Red, Crumb Cake, Whisper White, and Basic Black. I wasn't sure I could do anything Christmas without using any green, but I somehow managed. There were several times, however, that I almost caved and used a set of papers containing green.

Here's the sampler by itself:

I love the "Jolly Friends" set and had to use it as well. And do you see the gorgeous red ribbon wrapped around the sentiment square? That's also new and it has a small stitched white trim on it. It's beautiful. And what did I do when I had one square left but I had utilized all the stamps in this set? I simply added another set! The stockings are from the new set "Hang Your Stocking". The words "Jolly" and "Merry" are from the Christmas Greetings Thinlits and "Joy" is from the "Wonderful Wreath Framelits". And those darling little "Jingle Bells" on the moose's antlers are tied with Silver Metallic Thread. Since I have to have a little sparkle, I used my Fine Tip Glue Pen and sprinkled Dazzling Diamonds glitter on everything. You can see that a little better in these pictures:

While the card only uses the Candy Cane Christmas stamp set, it's simplicity compliments the sampler.

I hope you enjoyed my projects and I would love to hear from you!

Now let's go see what creative project Lori Mueller has for us! Just click on the "Next Blog" below. If you missed Phyllis' project, you can click on "Previous Blog" to get to her blog.

Happy Stamping!

    1. Thank you so much Jennifer! I'm thrilled you want to make it! I used a 12 x 12" cardstock for the background. The red squares are 3" x 3" and the inside squares are 2 3/4" x 2 3/4". You can decorate the squares as you wish with what you have. Enjoy!

    2. Awesome, I am using the retired set Scentsational Season, with the Ginger bread boy, the candy cane and mug of hot chocolate for now. I might decide to get that darned `moose` set Jolly Friends and make a second set! You are incredibly generous to share your talent and instructions, without any kind of reimbursement. There aren`t many people like you in this world! Have a Happy day! Jennifer, Silver Demo,Calgary, Alberta Canada
