Welcome to the Creative Inking March Blog Hop! This month we are showcasing Designer Series Paper. I love that Stampin' Up coordinates their printed papers to match certain stamp sets. Their papers also coordinate with their ink colors. However, they can't possibly make enough Designer Series Paper for the hundreds of stamp sets available in the catalog.
That's where the Designer Series Paper Stacks come in. The paper stacks are 12" x 12" and come in every single ink color. These papers can be used with any stamp set. I used them today for this Hop with the Perfect Mix stamp set.
My dear friend, Vickie Davis, made the cutest 3" x 3" cards in a matchbook-type holder. I took her idea, changed up the colors, Designer Series Paper, and made a custom box for them along with a card. This project is fairly easy and whips up in a flash!
Here's the box that holds four 3" x 3" cards and envelopes. If you would like a copy of my tutorial on how to make a custom sized box (free), please e-mail me and I will send you a copy.
I used Pool Party and Real Red dot papers (one of the four designs in the Subtles and Brights Designer Series Paper Stacks) and colored the stamped images with coordinating color markers. I also used the Stitched Shapes Framelits and 3/8" Pool Party satin ribbon.
I can't wait to give this box and cards to a friend who loves to bake. What would be better than to receive a little card like this adhered to a beautifully baked loaf of bread or plate of brownies? It's a great way to add a little something to whatever food gift you are giving.
I hope you enjoyed my post - I would love to hear from you. Now let's go see what awesome creation Lori Mueller has for us. Just click on the "next" button below.
