CREATIVE INKING BLOG HOP - Holiday Gift Ideas

Welcome to the Creative Inking Blog Hop!  This month we're featuring Holiday gift ideas. These small gifts are perfect for office mates, neighbors and friends. The added bonus is that they are easy to make. Purchase a small wood picture frame and a Fannie May chocolate snowman, and the rest is a cinch. I learned how to make the purse from my friend Cindy Brumbaugh, who gave a similar purse and picture frame to me at a 3D swap last year.

I made two of the same projects, one in more traditional Christmas colors and one a bit classier in black/white/silver. The purse gift bag stands about 4 1/2" (excluding handles):

Here they are with the wood frames. All I added were some pine boughs from the "Pretty Pines Thinlits" and holly/berries from the "Holly Berry Builder" punch.

The project above uses Cherry Cobbler and Garden Green inks and cardstocks; the project below uses Basic Black Ink and Whisper White cardstock. The trim is in Silver Foil.

I love using the Designer Series paper from Stampin' Up with it's double-sided designs.  I used both the "Be Merry" and "Merry Little Christmas" paper packs.  Here's the purse gift bag insides:

Easy peasy. Now onward to the Chocolate Snowman. This little stand-up box is a little more complicated, but the decorating ideas for it are endless. The box stands about 5" tall and 3" wide. Again, I chose simple decorating:

Here's the candy along with the frame - they both fit nicely in the purse gift bag:

I hope you enjoyed my post. Please click on the links below to see all the glorious creations by following along with our hop!
