CREATIVE CIRCLE DESIGN TEAM - Love Is In The Air

Welcome to the Creative Circle Design Team Blog Hop. This month we are featuring "Love is in the Air".  I chose to do some children's Valentine's Day party treat bags and matching cards. The Spring Catalog is here and I'm loving all the great new stamp sets, bundles, and accessories.

I used the new "Magical Day" bundle (stamp set and coordinating framelits). I love the dragons and mermaids in this set and the matching Designer Series Paper "Myths and Magic" with it's irridescent glittered designs was the perfect thing for my treat bags and cards:

We'll start with the dragons - so cute! You can add a punched or die-cut heart and the words "Be Mine" (from the "Bloomin Love" stamp set) and make any children's stamp set into cute Valentine greetings:

These treat bags are so easy to make with the Gift Bag Punch Board. Just follow the directions for the small bag. These stand 5 1/2" tall, so you would cut  your cardstock 5 1/2" x 10".

Here's a closer view of the front of the matching card:

I used Night of Navy, Bermuda Bay, and Smoky Slate cardstock along with the Silver Glitter Paper. The treat bag cardstock is Night of Navy and Smoky Slate and the backing for the dragon was embossed with the "Sparkle" embossing folder. The ribbon on the treat bag is the "Silver 1/8" Ribbon".

 And now for the Mermaids:

I used Bermuda Bay and Old Olive cardstock. I embossed the card front with the "Seaside" embossing folder and added the new Myths & Magic Glimmer Paper in Light Green. The ribbon is the new "Whisper White 1/4" Organza Ribbon".

Here's a close-up of the card:

And last, but not least, we can't forget the CHOCOLATE.

I hope you enjoyed my creation. Please follow along with the team and see everyone's great creations!

  1. Fantastic projects. Did you fussy cut the images from the DSP? Or does the die work to cut them out?

    1. Thanks Tania! I fussy cut these, but it will work just fine if you stamp and die cut them.
