CREATIVE INKING BLOG HOP - Sketch Challenge!

Welcome to the April Creative Inking Blog Hop. This month we're doing a sketch challenge. I love making cards from sketches and this sketch is amazingly easy and amazingly versatile! Here's the sketch:
The best thing about this sketch is the straightforward elements - you can add anything and even move the shape (heart in this instance), make it into a square or circle, or make the three rectangles shorter/longer. You could use any matching papers and stamp set with this sketch.

I chose two different sets - "Magical Day" and "Apron of Love". I will be sad to see Magical Day retire from the Spring Catalog on May 31 (order now before it's gone forever), but the Apron of Love stamp set and framelits are staying and will be available to purchase until at least June 1 of 2019.

I used the "Myths & Magic Specialty Designer Series Paper (for both cards) and the Myths & Magic Glimmer Paper for the Mermaid card. Cardstock is Whisper White and Lemon Lime Twist for the Mermaid, and Berry Burst, Smoky Slate, and Basic Gray for the Knight card.

I fussy-cut a star from the printed paper and added to the upper left hand corner (popped) to provide balance and dimension.

I used the "Tutti-frutti" Designer Series Paper and the Apron of Love bundle for this card. I punched a few orange slices out with the 3/4" circle punch and popped them to give the card a little dimension. I used Peek-a-boo Peach, Lemon Lime Twist, and Whisper White cardstock on the card.

Here's some close-ups:

I hope you enjoyed my cards today. Let's go see what the talented Lori Mueller did with this sketch! Just follow the links below:
